Morley Katz, Managing Director

Since founding Management Matters in 1997, Morley has provided expert advice and trusted counsel to CEOs and their executive teams, with a focus on solving tough leadership and organizational challenges. He has worked with more than 70 organizations and well over a thousand senior executives in a variety of industries, including financial services, retail, power utilities, district energy, private equity, sports and entertainment, and telecommunications, as well as in government and the not-for-profit sector. In addition to extensive experience as a management consultant, Morley has also been a corporate executive at a major financial services company and a supervising power systems engineer at a large power utility. He has consulted across Canada and the U.S., and in Europe and Asia.

Morley holds degrees in management sciences (operations research and organizational behaviour), electrical engineering, and mathematics & philosophy, and is a licensed professional engineer. He has been a Board Chair as well as Vice-Chair of two charitable organizations. He is currently completing a PhD (part-time) in Management Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, University of Waterloo, specializing in leadership.
